The task of writing one’s own statement in a test in the Ukrainian language and literature is one of the types of open test tasks.

As you know, the test in Ukrainian language and literature consists of two types of tasks:

“Closed type”, among which there are tasks: with the choice of one correct answer from four or five answer options; and the task of matching (or finding logical pairs) between the proposed elements; “Open type”, the terms of which stipulate that the participant must give a detailed answer to the task in the form of a handwritten text – his own statement.

Thus, one of the test tasks, which has become an integral part of the test in the Ukrainian language and literature in the external independent evaluation, is the task of creating a detailed answer, which should be in the form of your own statement.

A more detailed description of the types of test tasks used in the EIT test in the Ukrainian language and literature can be found at the link.

Speech style of one’s own utterance from the Ukrainian language

To what style of speech according to its features belongs one’s own speech at the external examination in Ukrainian language and literature.

Own statement as a text according to its characteristics, namely:

thematic (current personal and social issues are discussed), functional (convincing others of the correctness of your views, proving your position on a particular problem, conveying your views on a particular issue), compositional (structured as a rhetorical text (thesis, argumentation, illustrations, conclusions)), linguistic (both neutral and emotional-evaluative vocabulary is used; both neutral and expressive syntactic constructions)

 – most similar to the texts created by means https://123helpme.me/buy-compare-and-contrast-essay/ of journalistic style as a functional style of modern Ukrainian literary language.

Thus, when creating your own statement, you should follow the requirements of journalistic style, ie not to abuse excessive art, or colloquialism, or science in the presentation of their opinions.

At the same time, one’s own statement can be created in forms inherent in other functional styles, such as artistic, scientific, conversational, because in the task condition the stylistic affiliation of the text to be created by the test participant is not clearly indicated.

Warning! When creating your own statement, the main thing should be the principle of implementing one style within the text. Accordingly, in the process of creating your own utterance, you should weigh the stylistic correspondence of certain language means to the main, chosen by you for this text, manner of expression. Let’s agree, it will sound very ugly in any text, for example, the phrase: Extremely often individuals who are so eager to achieve their own, are ready to almost sell their mother and father in captivity to enemies of some cursed, which as soon as the earth endures our Ukrainian, – because in it the scientific beginning is replaced by colloquial stylistics, resulting in stylistic dissonance (ie stylistic defect, which indicates that the author of this phrase does not have stable skills of using the same style, does not feel linguistic harmony).

Journalistic style, or, as it is also called, newspaper-journalistic, is one of the functional styles of the modern Ukrainian language. It is one of the oldest styles: from the time when it was necessary to convince the community on certain issues or convey some information to it, there were people who knew how to do it skillfully, and therefore, the language began to take shape in journalistic style.

The sphere of functioning of the journalistic style is the mass media – newspapers, magazines, radio, television, as well as various forms and genres of agitation and propaganda (literature on socio-political topics, public speeches, etc.). The main purpose of style is to form public opinion by conveying information and persuading the listener / reader.

In the journalistic style, influence and persuasion act as the main function of language, moreover, this influence has a concentrated, open, and emphatically agitational character.
